Who are the needful
Ken Malvey - Lead and Rhythm Guitarist
Ken has been playing guitar since he was knee high to a grasshopper and it shows today. With a professional musical career in the late 80s and into the early 90s Ken honed his playing and songwriting skills. Today he brings the band leadership and bouncing energy to every practice and gig The Needful plays.
Pat King - Lead and Rhythm Guitarist
Pat grew up with a love of KISS and metal of the 80s and 90s. His uncanny ability to have someone mention a song or riff and magically find it then play it still amazes the band. With blistering leads and consistent rhythm Pat’s guitar compliments the style that his guitar co-conspirator Ken brings.
Brian Pope - Drums and Vocals
Brian is a drum machine in a good way. His consistent beat and timing drives every song forward and keeps the rest of the band on the right pace. Playing with Pat in the 80s and 90s brings a familiar comfort to the music they play together now. Brian’s harmonies and even occasional lead vocals show that his presence brings The Needful something that many cover bands are missing.
Glenn Kustera - Bass
What else can you say about a tall bass player who knows how to find the groove and maintain it through every song. Glenn quietly drives the bass lines and is usually the most obvious member to get lost in the music and smile as the band rocks through a set.
Jamie Bintliff - Vocals and Rhythm Guitar
Jamie stands in front of the band and brings a youth of punk rock energy with a voice that covers multiple genres and styles. The most tattooed member of the group and also the shortest keeps the crowds engaged while steering the set towards and around any requests or changes that the crowd demands.
